Letter from the CEO to The Startup Ladies community
Dear Startup Ladies Community,
I know that many of our members are hurting and angry tonight. Rightfully so, the Supreme Court took away every American woman’s right to decide what she does with her body.
Overturning Roe v. Wade was a major blow to ALL businesses in Indiana. The health and well-being of half of all workers in the state is now threatened. And, if restrictions on women’s rights are imposed, we will be unable to retain and attract top talent.
The Startup Ladies stand in solidarity with women. We trust women. We believe women are capable of deciding what we do with our bodies without government interference. Every woman should have the power to decide if and when she has children. Government has no business creating obstacles to women's healthcare.
Tomorrow, Saturday, June 25 at 11:00 a.m., I will be joining the ACLU, Planned Parenhood, Women4Change, and thousands of women and allies at the Indiana Statehouse to rally to keep abortion safe and legal. You can learn more here: https://bit.ly/3A1wzpQ.
Access to healthcare is most definitely a Startup Ladies issue. Without it, women cannot scale business and grow economies.
Together, we will change systems, processes, and laws that interfere with and harm women business owners.
