Thanks for visiting The Startup Ladies!
We’re a community of entrepreneurs, investors, enterprise companies, universities, and co-working spaces growing the number of women starting up scalable businesses and helping them secure the funding needed to grow.
Have an idea for a Business? Cool, we’ll help you get to market. Need to scale and feeling stuck? We’ll teach you what you don’t know and get you ready for funding. Want to invest in a startup? Awesome! We’ll show you how and connect you to investor-ready founders. Have a company providing products and services to startups and investors? We know a few and love connecting members. Want to give your students and co-workers access to seasoned entrepreneurs and investors? We’ve got the network!
All genders are welcome!
It’s important to understand that The Startup Ladies exist to level the playing field for women. The following stats are proof of how women continue to be under-represented, under-resourced, and underfunded in the startup space and business world.
In 2020, women founders received less than 3% of the $156.2 billion invested into startups.
Only 7% of women serve as CEOs in Fortune 500 companies.
Women hold less than 20% of board seats on companies in the S&P 500 index.
Less than 2% of women business owners generate $1 million in annual revenue.
90% of women-owned businesses have no employees.
I invite you to join us in eradicating gender disparity while learning how to start up, scale up, and/or invest. You’ll definitely expand your network and meet prospective advisors, investors, and clients during our live and virtual programs in 2021. Get started by exploring our website, register for an event, and when you’re ready, become a member.
